Privacy Policy

MyTasker ("we", "us", or "our") is a personal task management application available at app.mytaskerapp.com. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.

Information We Collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide the service:

• Account information: Your email address and password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication).
• Task data: Tasks, subtasks, categories, deadlines, and reminders you create within the app.

How We Use Your Data

• To operate and provide the MyTasker service.
• To send push notification reminders for tasks you have scheduled.
• We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to third parties for advertising or any other purpose.

Data Storage

All data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure (Firebase / Firestore) within the same Google Cloud project. Data is protected by Firebase security rules that restrict access to your account only.

Data Security

We implement the following technical safeguards to protect your data:

• Encryption in transit: All communication between your browser and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or higher). OAuth tokens and user data are never transmitted over unencrypted connections.
• Encryption at rest: All data stored in Firebase / Firestore is encrypted at rest by default using AES-256, managed by Google Cloud's infrastructure.
• Access controls: Firebase Security Rules enforce server-side access control so that each user can only read or write their own data. No user can access another user's tasks, settings, or connected account tokens.
• Authentication security: User credentials are managed entirely by Firebase Authentication. Passwords are never stored in plaintext and are subject to Firebase's hardened authentication infrastructure.
• Session management: Session cookies are HTTP-only and scoped to the app domain, reducing exposure to cross-site scripting attacks.

Data Retention & Deletion

• Your task data is retained as long as your account is active.
• To request full account deletion, contact us at the email below and we will remove all your data within 30 days.

Cookies & Tracking

We use a session cookie solely to keep you signed in. We do not use any third-party analytics, advertising cookies, or tracking scripts.

Children's Privacy

MyTasker is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
